Exposition – Drôles de meubles, ça déménage avec le Mobilier National !
This exhibition invites the public to discover 14 works from the Mobilier National collections, creating a dialogue between historic décor and furniture revisited by contemporary artists.
The Château de Châteaudun is home to 14 pieces of furniture reinvented by contemporary artists and craftsmen: screens, mahogany bookcases, chests of drawers, floor lamps and armchairs. The monument is transformed into a space of poetry and imagination. Piece by piece, the life of a stately family, always on the move, will be redesigned before our very eyes. In this way, the monument will be adorned with unexpected colors, the fruit of an exercise demonstrating how creativity and the logic of reuse can breathe new vitality.
Exhibition on view during normal opening hours.
