The Fête de la Rosière is an ancient tradition that honors a young woman each year who is recognized for her character, generosity, and commitment. In Châteaudun, it takes place every summer in the Saint-Jean neighborhood and is accompanied by festive celebrations.
Weekend Schedule
Saturday: Dance party at the Saint-Jean parking lot starting at 7 p.m., with food available on site. Hosted by the Guinguette duo (Bruno and Alain)
Sunday:
10 a.m. – Coronation of the Rosière at City Hall. Parade with the town’s marching band to Les Clercs.
11 a.m. – Religious ceremony at Saint-Jean Church.
12:00 p.m. – Reception
1:30 p.m. – Dinner and show featuring Etinc’elle and Les Baluchards (reservations required; Price: 24?)
