Set out to explore Montigny, an important fief of the Count of Dunois during the Middle Ages. Discover the remains of the medieval fortifications and the church.

The town was protected by a château-fort and a fortified wall built in the 12th century, some of whose remains can still be seen, such as the Porte Roland, which provided access to the town from Châteaudun, a former guardhouse and several turrets.

The Saint-Sauveur / Saint-Gilles church, rebuilt in the late 16th and early 17th centuries on Romanesque foundations, features an interior entirely redecorated in the 19th century. You can admire a wooden shrine dated 1828, containing the relics of Saint-Félicité in a curious wax effigy.

Bookings through Grand Châteaudun Tourisme.
